Blake Shelton amazed enthusiasts of "The Voice" by reporting that he will leave the singing contest show after its impending 23rd season.

On Tuesday, the blue grass music genius uncovered in a proclamation that the season broadcasting in spring 2023 will be his last.

"I've been grappling with this for some time and I've concluded that it's the ideal opportunity for me to move back from 'The Voice' after Season 23," he said.

"This show has transformed myself all around to improve things and it will constantly feel like home to me.

It's been quite a ride over these 12 years of seat turns and I need to thank everybody at

'The Voice' from NBC, each maker, the scholars, performers, team and catering individuals, you are awesome."

He kidded that it takes a lot of "grown-up drinks" to effectively film two live shows each week.

Shelton proceeded, " I've made long lasting bonds with Carson and each and every one my kindred mentors throughout the long term,

including my better half, Gwen Stefani! I need to give a gigantic holler to the vocalists — the 'Voices' who come on this stage a large number of seasons

and flabbergast us with their ability and an exceptional thanks to the people who picked me to be their mentor."

Toward the finish of his declaration, he stated, "Finally, it's about you all, the fans, who watch and backing these specialists,

us mentors and everybody at 'The Voice' pursuing their fantasies. It wouldn't occur without you!"
